On Sunday we went to Augustina’s hometown of Baleni where her family lives.  Half of the village are Romanians, however, the other half are Serbians who immigrated to Romania.  Augustina’s family are Serbian farmers and grow produce such as cabbage, tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, peppers, and more.  We visited their home and Antonia was the main attraction, playing with baby chicks and interacting with her great-grandmother.

Later in the evening, we went out to some of the family’s plots of land.  They share produce with Marius' family and Alina’s family.  We took some photos and then went to another plot.

We went back to the house to say goodbye to Augustina’s family and headed home.
