After traveling to so many places for so many days, we needed to take a break.  So we spent a few days resting in Tragoviste at Alina’s brother’s apartment.  Marius, his wife Augustina, and their daughter, Antonia, made us feel at home.  We offered to babysit Antonia on Friday, while Marius and Augustina went to work.  It was a fun day of play and parenting practice.  Antonia is 2 years old and is a very sweet girl.  She starts off very shy and quiet, then as she gets to know you, the energy and volume increase, as well as her very strong-willed personality.  It was interesting to think about how to handle different situations as a parent.  Later in the evening, after Augustina got home from work, we took a 20 minute bus ride to Moreni, to eat and spent time with Alina’s family.

Alina’s two aunts, Mirela and Doina, and Mirela’s two daughters, Heather and Michaela, had just arrived from Chicago, so we had a mini-family reunion/ 4th of July Party, with lots of Romanian language and food. We also went for a walk in the woods with Antonia.
